Mind BLMK

Mind BLMK works to support positive mental health and wellbeing. Working closely with partners, they offer a number of activities from local venues to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of people in Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes. Mind's aim is to make sure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.

For a number of years, the HR team hers at Mind BLMK used People Inc. to help manage their HR records. Having elected to add the Employee Self-Service module to enable staff to book leave and update their personal details themselves, we soon realised that this provided significant opportunities to streamline the management of other information within the organisation.

The flexibility provided by the People Inc. system enabled us to extend the functionality the standard product provides. This included adding custom data-screen, reports, and questionnaire forms. The reporting and access control facilities ensure that individual users are presented with the information they need on a day-to-day basis.

While making minor enhancements using the Screen Design can be done very easily, it became clear that we would require some additional support from P&A Software if we were to add some of the new functionality we needed. Working regularly with one of the People Inc. consultants, we were able to build our knowledge and understanding of the system's design tools.

Having one-to-one support from one of the team at People Inc. enabled us to get a far greater return from our investment in the software. Taking a consultative approach to the project also means that we now have in-house expertise which will enable us to continue to enhance the features we have already added to the system.
