Absence Rate
Absence rates are calculated over a period of time, usually a month, quarter or year. The formula uses the total number of sickness days or hours and the total number of possible working days/hours which were in the period.
The formula used in the calculation is:
Absence Rate = Absence Days in Period / Working Days in Period
