Absence Rule

An Absence Rule defines how a particular type of absence should be dealt with. Within People Inc. an absence rule defines the basic entitlement, the unit to use (days or hours), incremental leave, pro rata method, carry over, bank holiday calculations etc.

The rule provides a template that is referred to when ever an absence allowance, request or booking is made, providing a consistent approach.

Any number of rules can be defined to manage all types of planned and unplanned absences as part of an absence management process.
