Punch Card

Punch cards are used in none digital time and attendance systems to track time. The card contains a grid of times which are punched out by inserting the card into the time clock device.

In a digital time and attendance system employees identify themselves to the clocking terminal which then records their identity and the time either locally or in a central database.
