Statutory Sick Pay
Employees are entitled to receive a minimum level of income when they are off work due to illness. Some eligibility conditions apply including the average wage. Statutory sick pay is limited to 28 weeks in total. It is the employee’s responsibility to notify their employer of sickness within a set deadline.
