Subcontract

Organisations or individuals can (provided it is allowable) employ a third party to perform some or all of a piece of work. A housebuilder may subcontract electrical work to a specialist company.

Subcontracting work does not absolve the originator of the subcontract of responsibility for completing the work themselves.
