Young Workers

Employees under the age of 18 have specific rights and protections in law.

Workers aged between 16 and 17 must not work over 8 hours a day or 40 hours in a week. They also have additional rights to take breaks and have rest periods.

Employees under the age of 16 require a special permit and are governed by a specific set of rules to protect them.
